At the end of the 2025 season, after eleven years in existence, ECOA underwent a transition from being a LLC to a 501(c) non-profit. This re-designation better aligned with our mission to Education, Encourage, and Inspire as well our philanthropic work on public lands. The goal for this change, while subtle, is to allow us access to more grant money and other donations to support our education and public service goals.

One of the areas most affected by this change to being a non-profit is our relationship with companies in the industry. In years past donations from companies supported ECOA directly and internally. Now, as a non-profit, it is our goal to leverage this network of past, present, and future Corporate Partners to help support the volunteers that work with us on public land projects.

As such, starting 2026 there will be three categories for Corporate Partners moving forward. The first will be companies that focus on equipping ECOA for our missions relating to education and public land use. The second group will be companies contributing to door-prize items for project volunteers. The last group will be companies that have asked us to do product reviews.
