The primary mission of East Coast Overland Adventures is to provide high quality educational content through in-person training and on various media platforms. Our secondary mission is to provide technical, logistical, and physical support to stewardship projects on public lands in our region.
As of fall 2025 ECOA is in the process of being re-designated from a for-profit LLC into a 501 non-profit. With a focus on training and stewardship we will continue to provide high quality educational opportunities based on a lifetime of experience in the education, outdoor, and offroad industries. We will also provide support to other nonprofit organizations focused on stewardship like Tread Lightly! and the Overland Expo Foundation here on the east coast.
Historic Mission Statement: 2015-2025

Particular attention is given to the entry level overlander with novice level appropriate topics. ECOA seeks to model the overland adventure lifestyle in such a way that anyone with a 4wd, be it an AWD cross-terrain or a 4×4 Truck/SUV, can realize this lifestyle is attainable. As such A goal of ECOA is to take a budget minded approach to the overland lifestyle by advocating for wisely spent money on appropriate upgrades, money saved through DIY projects, and put the focus on the experience rather than the gear.
